UNDP Governance Programme Manager Ms. Annie Demirjian, and her Deputy, Mr. Phillip Cooper, paid a visit to the university. Prof. Abdi Haybe, Vice chancellor and number of UoH admin staff welcomed the UNDP delegates. Both parties discussed the bilateral relations and areas of collaboration in the future.The delegates appreciated the academic development and great achievements realized by UOH ICT & Distance Learning Faculty.

These include Evening Study programmes designed to offer studying opportunities to mainly the working class although any interested person who meets the admission requirements can apply to be considered for admission and Distance learning or External study programmes designed to benefit those who merit University education but for some reason are unable to attend regular classes at the University.
UOH currently produces about 70 graduates a year and they have generally been successful in securing jobs in either the public or private sector. Many employers have given them high marks for their professionalism and ethical conduct.
